As a Truck Transport Mechanic, you will be a key player in the service department, ensuring that heavy-duty vehicles are returned to the road in peak condition through expert troubleshooting and repair.

Responsibilities
What will you be doing?
Team Collaboration: Participate in daily toolbox talks and coordinate with the service team to prioritize open work orders.
Diagnostic Excellence: Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical faults.
Major Component Repair: Execute full removals and replacements of transmissions, differentials, clutches, and driveline systems.
Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and out-of-warranty corrective maintenance to ensure long-term vehicle reliability.
Safety Compliance: Conduct thorough safety inspections to ensure all vehicles meet strict provincial and industry regulations.
Detailed Documentation: Maintain precise records of all labor, parts used, and services performed for customer transparency.
Effective Communication: Clearly explain technical issues and repair requirements to both colleagues and customers.
Qualifications
What are we looking for in a candidate?
Certification: Valid Truck and Transport Mechanic ticket (Journeyman or Red Seal) is a significant asset.
Experience: 3+ years of experience in a heavy-duty service shop environment with a focus on component swaps.
Specialized Skills: Proficiency in performing vehicle safeties and using modern electronic diagnostic software.
Tooling: Must possess a personal, well-stocked toolbox to perform daily mechanical tasks.
Physical Capability: Ability to safely lift up to 60 lbs and navigate an industrial shop environment.
Licensing: A Class 1 Driver’s License is considered a major asset for vehicle testing and movement.
Legal Status: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
