As a User Interface Specialist, you will bridge the gap between user-centered design principles, business process automation, and digital accessibility compliance. Operating within an Agile software delivery framework, you will collaborate with business analysts, subject matter experts, and technical team members to translate complex requirements into intuitive user flows, interactive prototypes, and production-ready applications. This position demands a technical UX/UI authority with deep expertise in Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Copilot who can establish application design standards, ensure strict AODA compliance, and mentor team members on modern interface theories.

Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of enterprise business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform suite.
Collaborate with business analysts, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to elicit, gather, and analyze business requirements and user flows.
Apply user-centered design (UCD) methodologies and design thinking to transform business requirements into interactive wireframes, mockups, and low/high-fidelity prototypes.
Design and manage automated application workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes.
Ensure all developed application interfaces and components strictly comply with AODA regulations and digital accessibility standards.
Conduct comprehensive code reviews, UI assessments, and architectural checks to enforce best practices and design standards.
Coach, mentor, and guide technical team members on modern UX/UI development, design theories, and interface best practices.
Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical application bugs, system bottlenecks, and user experience issues, documenting solutions thoroughly.
Facilitate design and development workshops focused on digital accessibility, design standards, and system usability.
Author technical documentation, application design specs, prototyping guidelines, and development standards for team alignment.
Qualifications
Core Technical & UX/UI Requirements
Education: University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Power Platform Expertise: Extensive hands-on development experience across Microsoft Power Platform modules, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Copilot.
Accessibility Compliance: Extensive experience designing and implementing software solutions that adhere strictly to AODA and digital accessibility standards.
UCD & UX Methodologies: Extensive experience applying User-Centered Design (UCD) techniques, user persona building, user story mapping, and prototype development.
Requirements Translation: Proven ability to translate user requirements from subject matter experts and business analysts into prototype design mockups and production interfaces.
Agile Software Delivery: Solid understanding and practical experience within Agile software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Scrum frameworks.
Preferred Certifications & Technical Capabilities
Microsoft Certifications: Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant, Developer, or App Maker certifications.
System Architecture: Knowledge of application architecture, data modeling within Dataverse, and enterprise integration patterns.
Soft Skills & Delivery Attributes
Analytical Problem Solving: Superior troubleshooting capabilities to evaluate technical issues, refine interface performance, and resolve usability defects.
Communication & Mentorship: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong ability to coach team members and present design concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
