In this role, you will act as a strategic design lead, navigating ambiguity to uncover unmet customer needs and crafting "North Star" visions that shape long-term product roadmaps. You will work within a collaborative, 5 person team of researchers and designers to bridge the gap between human-centered design and business impact. Responsibilities
Strategy Leadership: Lead and own the customer and employee experience design strategy for specific insurance journeys, creating journey maps and service blueprints.
Vision Crafting: Develop compelling "North Star" vision types and translate them into 3-5 year strategic product roadmaps.
Stakeholder Management: Spend approximately 35% of your time interacting with business, product, and technology partners to ensure pragmatic and impactful solutions.
Human-Centered Design: Guide multi-disciplinary teams through discovery plans, user research, and experience prototyping to prioritize high-impact opportunities.
Executive Communication: Eloquently communicate design rationale and business impact to senior leadership through high-quality presentations.
Team Mentorship: Provide hands-on design direction and feedback to colleagues in user research and UX design to maintain a high bar for quality
Qualifications
Education: A degree in Design, Industrial Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related design discipline.
Experience: 5-7 years of proven experience conceptualizing and leading strategic work for complex experiences at an enterprise level.
Business Acumen: Strong ability to translate design initiatives into clear business impact and ROI.
Disciplinary Knowledge: A solid understanding of experience strategy, design research, interaction design, and visual design (minimum 5 years).
Soft Skills: High attention to detail, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to influence others to reach a shared consensus.
Technical/Methodological: Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and building impactful AI experiences is a strong asset.
Industry Background: Previous experience within Financial Institutions or Insurance companies is highly preferred.
