Our client is looking for a UX Designer for a 6-month hybrid contract role with the potential for a one-time extension. The position requires 3 onsite days per week at a Toronto location.

Responsibilities
• Conduct user research using interviews, surveys, usability testing, diary studies, A/B testing, card sorting, etc.
• Synthesize findings into personas, journey maps, affinity maps, and service blueprints
• Design user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma
• Develop accessible and intuitive interfaces optimized for a range of devices
• Facilitate design thinking workshops to identify UX opportunities
• Collaborate with business, product, and development teams to align on design goals
• Create content that simplifies complex information for users
• Document design decisions, research insights, and service maps
• Mentor and support team members with a high level of design communication
• Participate in agile sprints, contribute to iterative product development, and adapt design deliverables accordingly
Qualifications
Must Have:
• 5+ years of experience as a UX/UI/Product Designer
• Experience with Figma and designing within a design system
• Proficiency in user-centered research and service design methodologies
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UX design process and research application
• Agile product development experience across multiple sprints
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
Nice to Have:
• Experience designing for large, complex digital ecosystems
• Background in content design or technical writing
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices
• Familiarity with service design across front-end and back-end systems
• Ability to mentor junior team members and explain UX strategy to non-design stakeholders
