Cella by Randstad Digital is seeking a highly organized and strategic Video Art Director / Producer to drive the end-to-end development of video content for our client. This role functions effectively as a specialized Project Manager who ensures the "machine keeps going" by overseeing pre-production, production, and post-production workflows. You will be responsible for taking or creating briefs and ensuring that all high-quality video outputs—ranging from internal event videos and keynotes to explainers and YouTube shorts—align perfectly with the brand’s goals and creative vision.
...
Working in an in-house agency capacity, you will manage relationships with external agencies and collaborate across multiple departments to ensure all stakeholders are aligned. This is a high-volume role requiring the ability to manage 4–6 projects simultaneously while maintaining a deep understanding of how brand tone, voice, and look-and-feel impact technical content.
This is a 12-month contract role that is fully remote for candidates located within Canada.
Advantages
• You will be responsible for a wide variety of content, including internal event videos, keynotes, explainers, and YouTube shorts. This allows you to showcase your ability to handle diverse formats for high-level enterprise organizations.
• Unlike traditional editing roles, this position is 80% Project Management. You will act as the "engine" of the production process, taking briefs from concept to completion and managing agency relationships, which builds high-level leadership experience.
• Working as a Subject Matter Expert in digital infrastructure, SaaS, and Data Centres positions you at the forefront of the enterprise tech space. This specialized industry knowledge is highly valuable for future roles in the global technology market.
• This is a fully remote, 12-month contract based within Canada, offering the stability of a long-term project with the flexibility of a remote work environment.
Responsibilities
• Project Leadership (80% of Role): Serve as the primary driver for video projects, managing the "start-to-finish" lifecycle of content creation, including setting meetings, inviting the correct stakeholders, and driving the project timeline.
• Creative Production & Editing (20% of Role): Utilize a secondary skillset in editing and animation to support production needs or generate quick turns using the Adobe stack.
• Brand Stewardship: Conduct brand and content reviews for all video assets (including YouTube and social content) to ensure they meet internal standards for tone and visual identity.
• Stakeholder & Agency Management: Own relationships with external agencies and internal departments, acting as the central point of contact to ensure production needs are met efficiently.
• Technical Content Subject Matter Expertise: Quickly get up to speed on source documentation to understand and translate technical content related to digital infrastructure, SaaS, and Data Centres.
• Resource Coordination: Participate in resource allocation and project planning; while not directly managing a budget, you will be responsible for driving the budget and resourcing needs for assigned projects.
• Production Logistics: Organize and lead pre-production meetings, identify legal or clearance concerns, and troubleshoot challenges to avoid disruptions.
Qualifications
• In-House Agency Experience: Proven experience working within an in-house agency or corporate video production team.
• Project Management Excellence: Demonstrated ability to manage 4–6 video projects at a time, moving them from brief through to final delivery.
• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Adobe Premiere and After Effects for editing and animation, as well as the Microsoft Office suite.
• Agile Mindset: The ability to be agile and quickly understand technical source documentation in a fast-paced environment.
• Portfolio Requirement: A portfolio that showcases projects you have driven for enterprise-level clients. The portfolio should demonstrate both your ability to drive large-scale projects and examples of your own technical work.
• Collaboration Tools: Familiarity with SmartSheets or Asana, and collaboration tools such as Frame.io and Miro.
• Industry Knowledge: Previous experience or a strong interest in the digital infrastructure, SaaS, or Data Centre sectors.
• Educational Background: A degree in Design, Film, or Creative Writing.
