The successful candidate will leverage advanced non-linear editing techniques and creative problem-solving to meet the client's strategic project goals across various platforms, including broadcast, promotional, and long-format documentary content. This role is a 12 month contract opportunity.

Responsibilities
Create, edit, and enhance video content from various sources (e.g., highlight reels, show content) to produce engaging materials, including promos, packaging, and long-format programs, often using specified templates.
Ensure the effective operation and use of professional editing hardware, including color correction consoles, audio consoles, and digital waveform monitors.
Operate and utilize professional editing software such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Encoder.
Perform all technical steps of post-production, including media ingestion, organization, file and project management in a networked environment, and exporting to various specifications.
Conduct audio mixing and sweetening, ensuring all content complies with standard loudness guidelines (e.g., ATSC A/85) for direct broadcast use.
Execute corrective functions like color correction and dropout removal to maintain high-definition content quality.
Actively collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, provide a high quality of service, and deliver polished final products.
Work closely with team members to develop and iterate on production and promotional material based on creative feedback.
Maintain meticulous media file and project file management in a multi-user environment.
Qualifications
Must be fully bilingual (written and spoken) in French and English.
Post-secondary education with a focus on technical and production standards in film, video, or a related field.
A minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in advanced techniques of non-linear editing within a television production, advertising, or broadcast environment.
Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects, and knowledge of DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Encoder.
Exceptional creativity, rigorous attention to detail, and a strong sense of organization and priorities.
Demonstrated ability to be an outstanding team player and communicator, capable of conveying ideas and essential project information clearly.
A positive, proactive attitude with excellent independent problem-solving capabilities.
Strong understanding of importing and exporting graphics, audio files, projects, and libraries in a professional environment.
