Responsibilities
Execute accurate order picking using a manual paper-based system, prep shipments, and verify paperwork while preparing for a future transition to RF scanners.
Operate Reach and Sit-Down Counterbalance (SDCB) forklifts safely 30% to 50% of the day to unload flatbed trucks, drop pallets, and stock inventory.
Handle diverse inventory by loading and unloading equipment and parts ranging from tiny components to heavy, awkward items up to 6 feet long.
Adapt seamlessly between the indoor warehouse and the outdoor yard to safely unload flat deck trailers in all weather conditions.
Collaborate closely with a small team to keep the shop floor clean, maintain open communication, and perform team-lifts for heavy items.
Qualifications
Certified Operator: Hold valid, up-to-date certifications for both Reach and Sit-Down Counterbalance forklifts.
Physically Capable: Able to regularly lift and move products weighing 50 to 70 lbs, utilizing team lifts when appropriate.
Dependable & Proven: Bring a track record of reliable attendance, strong job retention with past employers, and a daily commitment to being on time.
Strong Communicator: Possess fluent verbal and written communication skills paired with basic computer literacy to manage order information.
Equipped for Safety: Supply your own 6-inch steel-toed safety boots (vests, gloves, and glasses are provided on day one).
