As the Warehouse Assistant, you will be the right hand to the Warehouse Supervisor. You will handle the critical day-to-day execution of warehouse functions, including facility organization, meticulous inventory cycle counts, and order fulfillment. Responsibilities
🚀Core Warehouse Support & Lean Operations
- Floor Excellence: Perform general warehouse labor, maintaining a spotless, safe, and hazard-free environment aligned with company health and safety standards (WHMIS, OHS).
- Inventory Control: Conduct regular physical cycle counts to help the Supervisor maintain flawless tracking within the company’s advanced ERP/WMS system.
- Stock Optimization: Assist with inventory relocation, replenishment, and applying lean warehousing principles to reduce waste and maximize floor space.
🚀 Shipping, Receiving & Courier Logistics
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare critical equipment and spare parts for nationwide distribution.
- Documentation Support: Flawlessly fill out and verify essential shipping paperwork, including packing slips, waybills, and initial customs/courier documentation.
- Digital Logistics: Utilize various courier websites (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL) to schedule daily pickups, print labels, and track outgoing shipments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience handling standard shipping and receiving processes in a structured warehouse environment.
- Comfortable navigating computer systems and online courier portals.
- Strong attention to detail—ability to accurately match physical inventory numbers to paperwork to prevent shipping errors.
Certifications & Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Any background or coursework in Supply Chain/Logistics is a plus).
- Nice-to-Have: Prior forklift experience or certification is a major asset, but not mandatory (our client is fully willing to train and certify the right candidate).
