Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently load and unload trailers, using equipment like pallet jacks and hand dollies as needed.
Inspect and count freight upon arrival and departure, meticulously checking for damages or shortages to ensure accuracy.
Strategically stage and move freight across the dock to minimize damages and optimize workflow.
Monitor and review all shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and manifests.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while consistently practicing all company safety procedures.
Qualifications
Prior Forklift experience with 2-3 years of background in operating Sit Down Forklift
Valid forklift certification
Demonstrate a high attention to detail and a commitment to following all safety protocols.
Ability to read shipping manifests, assess weights, and judge distances and heights accurately.
Flexible and available for alternating evenings and weekends
Must have reliable transportation, as the location is not accessible by public transit.
