Responsibilities
• Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve products and materials.
• Load and unload trucks and containers on the dock in a timely and accurate manner.
• Organize and maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all company and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-operation and post-operation inspections of the forklift and other equipment.
• Accurately sort, organize, and store inventory in designated locations.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth dock and warehouse operations.
• Prepare and stage outgoing shipments and verify incoming deliveries.
• Perform manual labour tasks, including lifting and moving freight as required.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a dock worker or forklift operator.
• Valid forklift certification is a must.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and warehouse protocols.
• Excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., RF scanners) is considered an asset.
