In this role as a Warehouse Associate, you will be the backbone of the branch’s operations. This is a dynamic position within the manufacturing & logistics sector that combines physical activity with technical tasks. You will be responsible for ensuring that electrical components—from small connectors to heavy cabling—are handled with care and precision. Whether you are performing order selection, managing shipping and receiving, or assisting with warehouse / showroom stock replenishment, your contribution ensures that local contractors and businesses get the supplies they need on time.
A unique aspect of this Warehouse Associate position is the opportunity to operate specialized equipment. You will be trained to use a motorized wire-cutting machine to fulfill specific customer requirements. This role also involves occasional customer contact, particularly regarding order selection and processing returns, requiring a friendly and professional demeanor. As part of the manufacturing & logistics team, you will work a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, providing an excellent work-life balance. We are looking for an energetic team player to start on March 23.

Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Associate in the manufacturing & logistics department, your daily tasks will include:
• Performing accurate order selection using pick sheets to gather electrical components for customer orders.
• Managing shipping and receiving duties, including unloading trailers and verifying packing slips against physical inventory.
• Executing warehouse / showroom stock replenishment to ensure products are easily accessible for both staff and customers.
• Operating a motorized wire-cutting machine to cut various gauges of electrical wire to specific lengths (full training provided).
• Handling customer interactions professionally when assisting with order pickups or managing customer returns in the showroom.
• Utilizing manual or powered equipment (such as pallet jacks) to move heavy materials safely throughout the facility.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace to uphold safety standards within the manufacturing & logistics environment.
• Identifying and reporting any inventory discrepancies or damaged goods to the warehouse supervisor.
Qualifications
The ideal Warehouse Associate candidate must meet the following criteria:
• Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly, with a safe lifting limit of 40 – 60 lbs.
• Possession of green patch safety footwear (CSA approved) is mandatory from day one.
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving or general warehouse operations is highly preferred.
• A valid Walkie / Stacker license is considered a significant asset, though not essential for the role.
• Comfort working in a role that involves both physical labor and occasional customer service.
• Reliable transportation to the Kitchener, Ontario location for a 7:00 am start.
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
