Responsibilities
Operational Leadership: Coordinate the safe and efficient movement, stacking, and counting of merchandise throughout the facility.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate a counterbalance forklift to load/unload trailers and transport materials to designated areas.
Inventory Integrity: Maintain tight inventory control by assisting in physical counts, ensuring proper stock rotation, and keeping accurate records/reports.
Shipping & Receiving: Accurately pull and prepare products for shipment, verifying that the exact quantity and type of goods are loaded.
Safety & Maintenance: Perform daily pre-operational equipment inspections, report maintenance issues immediately, and adhere to all provincial health and safety standards.
Facility Upkeep: Maintain a clean and orderly work area in compliance with 5S and safety procedures.
Team Collaboration: Partner with the manufacturing and logistics departments to eliminate bottlenecks and hit production targets..
Qualifications
Experience: At least one year of direct experience as a Warehouse Lead Hand or in a similar supervisory logistics role.
Certifications: Valid external forklift certification is considered a strong asset.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 50 lbs when required.
Safety Gear: Must own and wear CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Mindset: A proven history of safe work practices and a commitment to maintaining a secure workplace for the whole team.
