Our client is seeking applications for the permanent position of Warehouse Lead Hand. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this role is responsible for coordinating shipping and receiving activities, managing inventory-related processes, supporting operations, and providing leadership and direction to warehouse team members.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

Logistics & Shipping: Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring orders, shipments, and documentation are accurate and completed on time. Schedule and track incoming and outgoing shipments while working closely with transportation providers, vendors, and internal teams.
Receiving & Inventory: Receive inventory, verify documentation, and investigate discrepancies, shortages, or damages. Support inventory management through counts, audits, reconciliations, and reporting.
Documentation: Maintain shipping records, bills of lading, and food safety documentation.
Leadership: Provide day-to-day direction to warehouse team members and support operational efficiency. Act as a backup to the Warehouse Supervisor when required.
Located in East Winnipeg with limited transit, access to your own transportation is preferred.

Responsibilities

Material Handling: Coordinate the movement of packaging materials, drums, pallets, and finished goods. Operate a forklift and prepare products and materials for shipment.
-Documentation: Maintain shipping records, bills of lading, and food safety documentation.
-Leadership: Provide day-to-day direction to warehouse team members and support operational efficiency.
Qualifications
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
-Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
-3+ years leadership experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
-Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
-Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
-Assets: Food manufacturing experience, forklift certification, WHMIS training, and HACCP knowledge are considered strong assets.
