Responsibilities
As the Warehouse Manager, you will be the heart of our client's logistics operations. Your responsibilities will be broad and impactful:
Health & Safety Leadership:
Champion and enforce all health and safety policies, ensuring full compliance with Alberta's Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act, regulations, and code.
Proactively identify risks and develop new safety procedures to foster a secure working environment for all.
Strategic Inventory & Warehouse Management:
Assume full ownership of the warehouse inventory, overseeing everything from receipt and storage to final dispatch.
Conduct precise cycle counts and manage inventory tracking systems to ensure accuracy.
Strategically optimize the warehouse layout to maximize space, efficiency, and safety.
Team Development & Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and motivate the warehouse team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
Manage the full employee lifecycle for warehouse staff, including recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee daily operations, including the accurate picking, packing, weighing, and labeling of all outgoing orders.
Act as the primary liaison between transport companies, suppliers, and clients to ensure seamless coordination.
Maintain an exceptionally clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
Qualifications
We are looking for a results-oriented professional with the right mix of experience, skill, and ambition.
Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar leadership role.
A deep understanding of warehouse management procedures and modern best practices.
Strong proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and the MS Office Suite.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with a talent for training and developing teams.
In-depth, practical knowledge of Alberta's Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
Physically able to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs (23 kg) as required.
