Responsibilities
Oversee and direct all daily warehouse activities, including the receiving, stocking, order picking, and shipping of products to ensure operational excellence.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of warehouse associates within a unionized environment, promoting a positive and productive work culture.
Establish and implement operational policies and procedures for production, receiving, routing, inventory, and transportation, among other areas.
Ensure the warehouse is in compliance with all provincial and federal laws
Maintain the high physical condition of the warehouse and its equipment.
Troubleshoot system issues that affect the timely delivery or receiving of products.
Ensure timely training for warehouse associates.
Administer company-sponsored safety programs according to best practices.
Maintain good attendance, safe work practices, and safeguard confidential company information.
Qualifications
High School Diploma is required.
A minimum of five years of previous warehouse or logistics management experience is required.
Fluency in English and strong communication skills, both oral and written, are a must.
Proficiency in MS Office is required.
A current forklift and related power equipment license and training certificate are preferred.
Experience with AS400 computer systems is preferred.
Working knowledge of cycle counts and inventory movement
Ability to work in a unionized environment.
