You will oversee the daily rhythm of the warehouse, starting bright and early to open the facility and set the tone for the day. You are the go-to person for resolving delivery exceptions, managing picker workflow, and ensuring safety and efficiency standards are met. This role is deeply rooted in Manufacturing & logistics, requiring a mindset that is both analytical and action-oriented. Responsibilities
• Manage the daily opening of the warehouse, reviewing emails and operational messages to set priorities for the Manufacturing & logistics team.
• Distribute orders to pickers and confirm staffing readiness to ensure a smooth start to the shift.
• Prepare daily driver runs and review prior day deliveries to resolve any exceptions immediately.
• Oversee truck loading and departure timing to guarantee on-time service for all clients.
• Monitor active floor activity and workflow, reassigning pickers dynamically as volume shifts.
• Conduct daily building walkthroughs to ensure safety protocols and organizational standards are met.
• Prepare delivery documentation for invoicing and support basic fleet tracking systems.
• Provide coverage for the order desk and assist walk-in customers with high-level service.
• Prepare driver runs for the following day and ensure the warehouse is fully prepped for the next shift.
• Serve as the primary interface between drivers, warehouse pickers, and the sales team to prevent escalations.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or operations coordination role with team lead experience
• Proven experience in Manufacturing & logistics environments; forklift license is considered a strong asset.
• Ability to work the required schedule of 5:30 am – 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
• Physical ability to perform building walkthroughs and assist on the warehouse floor as needed.
• Experience with building supplies or similar industrial products is highly preferred.
• Reliable transportation to the Vaughan, Ontario area.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further certification in logistics or management is a plus.
