Responsibilities
•Set up, adjust, and operate Waterjet Cutting machines to ensure precise fabrication of stainless steel products.
•Read and interpret technical specifications or follow verbal instructions to execute cutting tasks accurately.
•Properly load material onto the cutting bed using appropriate material handling equipment, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
•Monitor the cutting operation continuously and remove cut pieces as required to maintain workflow efficiency.
•Assess cut pieces for quality assurance, checking for defects and preparing the product for final delivery.
•Check and complete all necessary paperwork to ensure inventory accuracy and order tracking.
•Properly package and secure all orders, which may include making skids, boxes, strapping, and wrapping items accordingly.
•Assist machine operators, material handlers, and other workers with various duties involving the physical handling of product, materials, and equipment.
•Possess a strong safety awareness by wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
•Operate industrial material handling equipment such as tow motors (forklift), overhead cranes, and lift trucks (Raymond Reach, Combi).
•Fill in for other positions as needed and perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
Qualifications
•Valid forklift license or a minimum of 3 months of forklift experience, preferably with heavy materials.
•At least 12 months of proven waterjet cutting experience is mandatory.
•Experience operating overhead cranes is highly preferred.
•Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of essential machine maintenance protocols.
•Physical capability to perform frequent bending, pushing, and lifting of 50+ pounds.
•Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
•Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and willing to work overtime as needed.
•Willingness to assist other plant personnel and work as a collaborative team player.
•Visual depth perception and physical stamina to handle the demands of the role.
