Your day-to-day tasks will be dynamic. You'll be responsible for order picking and general warehouse duties. You must be an expert at operating a reach truck , with at least two years of experience. Experience with a sit-down counterbalance forklift and skid steer is a major plus! Beyond standard duties, you'll also be involved in shipping and receiving, handling bills of lading and managing vendor relationships.
Advantages
You'll get paid weekly at a competitive rate of $21/hour, and you'll have access to 4% vacation pay right away. After 2-3 months, based on your performance, you can transition into a permanent full-time position.
Responsibilities
Order Picking and General Warehouse Duties: Use your expertise to efficiently pick orders and handle a variety of general warehouse tasks.
Operating Heavy Machinery: Put your skills to the test operating a sit-down counterbalance forklift, reach truck and skid steer
Warehouse Maintenance: Keep our warehouse organized and ensure all inventory is accurately placed. You'll also assist with receiving and shipping tasks, including managing bills of lading and coordinating with shipping companies.
Winter Readiness: Be prepared to lend a hand with snow removal to keep our clients facility safe and accessible, including using a skid steer for the parking lot and shoveling sidewalks.
Qualifications
You should have 3-5 years of warehouse experience, with at least 2 years of recent experience operating a reach truck, sit-down counterbalance forklift.
Communication: You're a great communicator with a sharp eye for detail. You may be asked to complete an language proficiency test or a communication test prior to on-boarding
Reliability: This role requires your own reliable transportation as the location is not accessible by public transit.
Authorization: You must be legally authorized to work in Canada (Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid work permit holder).
