Responsibilities
The Service Area Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment within the garage service areas.
Continuous Cleaning: Perform ongoing cleaning of the service bays, work stations, and surrounding high-traffic areas throughout the day to prevent buildup and maintain hygiene standards.
Spill Management: Promptly identify and clean up spills (oil, grease, solvents, coolant, etc.) using proper absorbent materials and disposal procedures to ensure a safe work floor.
Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, and/or utilize floor scrubbing equipment on all service area flooring to remove dirt, debris, and residue.
Tool/Equipment Area Upkeep: Ensure all cleaning and shop equipment (e.g., waste containers, floor jacks, tire machines) are wiped down and kept clean.
Waste Disposal: Empty and properly sort waste and recycling receptacles from the service area, ensuring all hazardous or regulated materials (e.g., used filters, oily rags) are handled according to environmental and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
Physical stamina to lift 30 to 50 lbs.
A valid driver's license is preferred.
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
