Responsibilities
- Perform high-volume MIG welding on mild steel, galvanized, and stainless steel materials.
- Execute finesse TIG welding on thin-gauge satin coat and aluminum HVAC components.
- Set up and fit parts using established fixtures and jigs for precise assembly.
- Interpret industrial blueprints and technical drawings using Imperial units for custom job orders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Fitter Welder (MIG/TIG) within a custom job shop or manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in MIG welding 3/8" mild steel and TIG welding 18–28 gauge stainless steel.
- Competency reading standard blueprints and utilizing Miller or Hobart welding equipment.
- Ability to pass an in-person practical weld test overseen by a CWB supervisor in Brantford.
