Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on heavy plate steel for mining machinery and defense vehicles.
- (For the top-pay band only) Execute Flux Core welding and weld specialized aluminum materials according to production needs.
- Interpret complex layout drawings to verify all prefabricated sub-assemblies match structural criteria.
- Conduct visual inspections of finished weldments and grind components in the Stratford fabrication shop.
Qualifications
- Bring a minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a Welder in the manufacturing sector.
- Demonstrate proficient blueprint reading abilities and high-level structural fitting capabilities.
- Hold or have the capacity to successfully pass a practical MIG CWB flat test on-site.
- Consent to a mandatory background (Criminal Record) check required for handling specialized controlled manufacturing goods.
