Responsibilities
•Deploy, configure, maintain, and upgrade Windows Server environments across on-premise and cloud platforms.
•Provide Level 2 technical support for infrastructure, applications, and platform services via ServiceNow.
•Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and performance issues in production environments.
•Monitor server performance, capacity, and availability to ensure optimal system operation.
•Develop, implement, and support automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, or Azure.
•Manage and support Windows Server technologies including Group Policy, SCCM, and related services.
•Perform system upgrades, patches, and configuration changes in accordance with change management processes.
•Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, SOPs, and root cause analysis reports.
•Collaborate with application owners, developers, and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents and improve service delivery.
•Identify opportunities to improve performance, efficiency, and operational processes within the environment.
Qualifications
•Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•3+ years of experience supporting critical applications in hybrid (on-premise and cloud) environments.
•2+ years of hands-on experience with Windows Server administration (Windows Server 2016–2022).
•Strong experience with Microsoft Group Policy and SCCM.
•Experience with performance and capacity monitoring of enterprise servers.
•Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Azure.
•Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Ansible playbooks).
•Experience supporting large-scale, multi-tier production environments.
•Strong understanding of Windows Server architecture and support best practices.
•Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple workstreams, and meet deadlines.
•Experience with change management processes (asset).
•Strong documentation skills, including SOPs, diagrams, and knowledge transfer materials (asset).
