Today, Randstad Canada announces the launch of Randstad With Heart, a web-based platform that allows its employees to create or find volunteer opportunities and log their eight hours of company-sponsored volunteer time for a charity of their choice. The program has been launched globally in 38 countries, enabling more than 38,000 Randstad employees worldwide."Randstad Canada has a deep-rooted sense of corporate social responsibility and a long tradition of supporting volunteer work by employees. Randstad With Heart will provide even more opportunities to our staff to support causes that are close to their hearts and will give more visibility to the impact that our employees have on their communities," says Marc-Étienne Julien, CEO, Randstad Canada.
Randstad With Heart is supported by the insights of Randstad's quarterly Workmonitor report[1], which showed that 65% of workers feel it is important to make a contribution to society by doing voluntary work. A majority of Canadians (71%) say they are willing to do voluntary work, if employers would offer paid time off.

Randstad Canada has long demonstrated a commitment to volunteering and giving back. In 2014, Marc-Étienne Julien founded the Ride for Myriam, a charitable bike ride honouring a colleague's fight against cancer. Since the creation of the event, Randstad and its employees have raised more than $250,000 to benefit the Princess Margaret Foundation and the American Cancer Society. Employees are also deeply committed to raising funds for children's causes and have raised $3.2 million dollars over the last few years. In 2019, Randstad and VSO - the world's leading development NGO that fights poverty through the knowledge and skills of volunteers - will celebrate their 15 year partnership. Randstad employees are currently participating in a VSO project in Jamaica. Randstad employees participate in many other volunteer projects, including socially involved and philanthropic initiatives.
