Our client, a major player in the insurance industry, is seeking two Artificial Intelligence Developers to join their productivity-focused innovation lab.

This is a 7-month contract possibly renewable starting in early April and ending in late October 2026. The position follows a hybrid work model requiring an office presence two days a week. Candidates must be based primarily out of the Montreal or Toronto offices.

Responsibilities
Design and implement conversational intelligent agents and specific task-oriented agents.
Integrate generative artificial intelligence capabilities into existing systems and enterprise architectures.
Ensure impeccable code quality through a pragmatic approach focused on delivering robust solutions.
Interact with various application programming interfaces and application services to orchestrate agent workflows.
Act as a technical mentor and guide the team on best practices and design patterns depending on your seniority.
Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team spread across multiple provinces.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in software engineering and development.
Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, TypeScript, or Java.
Concrete and demonstrated experience integrating solutions based on generative artificial intelligence.
In-depth knowledge of the design and orchestration of intelligent agents.
Mastery of modern assisted development platforms such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Devin, or Windsurf.
Ability to work with service-oriented architectures and legacy systems.
Experience with cloud environments and continuous integration pipelines is considered an asset.
English proficiency is required to collaborate effectively in a pan-Canadian context; French and English bilingualism is considered an asset but is not mandatory.
**Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties.
Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.**
