Our client is seeking a Business Analyst for a contract position of 5 months and this hybrid opportunity (3 days onsite in Toronto đ, 2 days remote) offers the chance to support complex initiatives.

Responsibilities
âą Lead business requirement elicitation, documentation, and validation sessions
âą Develop user stories, process maps, use cases, and business/system requirements
âą Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, and product demo sessions
âą Support technical teams in aligning solution capabilities with business needs
âą Prepare detailed documentation (functional specs, test plans, traceability matrices)
âą Conduct feasibility studies, scoping exercises, and provide work estimates
âą Engage stakeholders in joint application design (JAD) workshops
âą Monitor progress, report deliverables, and proactively manage risks/issues
âą Conduct walkthroughs and ensure adherence to accessibility (AODA) and OPS standards
âą Ensure effective knowledge transfer and documentation delivery throughout the engagement
Qualifications
Must Have:
âą Proven experience facilitating stakeholder engagements and requirement workshops
âą Demonstrated expertise in system implementation for complex enterprise solutions
âą Hands-on experience with COTS systems like Oracle Siebel
âą Ability to document full project lifecycle artifacts (BRDs, SRS, use cases, test cases, etc.)
âą Experience working in Agile/sprint environments and creating user stories
âą Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have:
đ Public sector experience in I&IT solution design, digital service delivery, and QA practices
đ§© Familiarity with tools like Jira, Visio, prototyping software, and mapping tools
đ§ Knowledge of OPS Digital Service Standards and the Simpler, Faster, Better Services Act
đ ïž Experience supporting Digital First strategies and AODA compliance
đ Ability to prepare strong business cases and obtain cross-functional approvals
