As a Cherry Picker Operator, you will be an essential part of the daily operations of a bustling distribution center. Your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently operate a cherry picker (also known as an order picker) to pick customer orders from various rack levels. This position requires precision and focus to ensure that the right products are selected and that inventory counts remain accurate. Your work will directly contribute to the success of the supply chain and customer satisfaction. This role is a key component of the manufacturing & logistics team, ensuring seamless order fulfillment.
This is a day shift position, offering a consistent schedule and a competitive hourly wage. You will be working in a modern, well-organized warehouse where safety is the top priority. Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently operate a cherry picker forklift to pick orders and move materials throughout the warehouse.
Utilize an RF scanner to accurately scan products, pick orders, and manage inventory.
Follow pick lists and instructions to locate items in the warehouse at various heights.
Perform pre-operational and post-operational safety checks on the cherry picker equipment.
Ensure orders are picked accurately and prepared for the shipping department in a timely manner.
Use a computer system to update order status and maintain inventory records.
Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to prevent accidents and promote efficiency.
Assist with other general warehouse duties as required, contributing to the overall team effort in a manufacturing & logistics setting.
Qualifications
Valid and current certification to operate a Cherry Picker (Order Picker).
Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a cherry picker in a warehouse or distribution center.
Experience using RF scanners is essential.
Must own a pair of CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs comfortably and safely.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Reliable transportation to the job site in Brantford, Ontario.
