Responsibilities
Strategic Audit Execution: Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of technical audits, from initial scoping and risk assessment to the delivery of the final executive report.
Technical Validation: Perform deep-dive inspections of application controls, system architecture, and source code to ensure operational integrity.
Risk Mitigation: Identify vulnerabilities in identity management, data encryption, and network defenses (firewalls, IDS/IPS), ensuring alignment with global security standards.
Stakeholder Partnership: Act as a consultant to business units, discussing deficiency findings and co-developing robust remediation plans to strengthen the control environment.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all technology processes adhere to international financial regulations and internal governance frameworks.
Data Analytics: Utilize advanced scripting and visualization tools to analyze large datasets, identifying trends or anomalies in control performance.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: 7 to 11 years in the Financial Services sector, with at least 3 to 5 years specifically dedicated to IT or Information Security auditing.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in data tools (Python, T-SQL, or VBA) and visualization platforms (PowerBI or Tableau).
Knowledge Base: Deep familiarity with industry frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and FFIEC, as well as investment banking/broker-dealer regulations.
Certifications: CISA, CISSP, CIA, or CPA designations are highly preferred.
Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical rigor and the ability to communicate complex technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
