Bilingual Equipment Coordinator – National Transport Leader (Lachine)

We are looking for a Bilingual Equipment Coordinator to join our Lachine team. This is a key operational role, perfect for someone who is organized, tech-savvy, and ready to dive into the heart of the logistics industry.
Title: Equipment Coordinator
Location: Lachine industrial park
Salary: $23 per hour
Duration: long term contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday 4 am – 12:30 pm

Responsibilities
As the "conductor" of the yard, you will ensure the seamless flow of equipment movements:
- Strategic Tracking: Continuously monitor trailer movements (arrivals, departures, and yard transfers) within the terminal.
- Data Integrity: Rigorously update trailer status and maintenance needs in the system.
- Quality Control: Conduct routine inspections for damage and coordinate maintenance requests to keep the fleet moving.
- Impactful Communication: Act as the liaison between logistics, maintenance, and loading teams to ensure equipment availability.
- Operational Analysis: Monitor idle times and frequency of use to optimize fleet efficiency.
Qualifications
What You Bring to the Team ?
- Bilingualism: Excellent communication skills in both English and French (written and verbal).
- Experience: 1–2 years in customer service or administration (experience in the transportation industry is a major asset!).
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to quickly master new software (e.g., TruckMate).
- Soft Skills: You are a problem-solver who remains calm under pressure and possesses strong conflict-resolution skills.
- Results-Driven: You thrive in high-transaction environments and consistently meet deadlines.
