Responsibilities
Tasks include:
-Sustainment and enhancements for the Vacant Home Tax application.
-Perform upgrades on the Tax Relief application – an application used by lowincome citizens to get tax rebates.
-Development and deployment of revenue services custom service public and staff facing tool to help revenue service customer service team triage and assign questions from citizens to different units in the division.
-Implement enhancements for the eBilling other applications that perform look up against the revenue databases.
Qualifications
1. Post-secondary education in Computer Science or a related discipline with extensive development / sustainment experience in large-scale IT solutions, or the approved equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
2. Extensive experience in business system analysis, rapid application development and programming in a large, diverse computing environment.
3. Extensive experience in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery, React and Bootstrap.
4. Extensive experience in using REST APIs, including JSON and XML APIs.
5. Experience developing digital products that comply with accessibility standards and/or best practices (WCAG 2.x AA, AODA, WAI-ARIA).
6. Experience optimizing for the accessibility features of the platform (HTML, iOS, Android).
7. Experience developing and/or maintaining large scale information technology applications.
8. Ability to effectively communicate with team members and clients regarding technical and business requirements. Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to work effectively as a member of a team, collaboratively with others in multidisciplinary team environment and work independently, as required.
9. Ability to effectively work independently with minimal supervision
10. Proactively investigates and participates in root cause analysis during unanticipated outages by providing debugging support.
