Are you a Service Designer passionate about transforming complex systems to improve user experience? Our Edmonton client is embarking on a large-scale academic and administrative transformation and is seeking a creative, strategic thinker to help reimagine how services support research administration for an initial 10-month contract. You’ll play a key role in designing user-centric, efficient, and innovative service experiences that directly impact how researchers access support across their lifecycle.

Responsibilities
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to uncover user needs and service challenges
• Map and analyze current-state user journeys, service blueprints, and system flows
• Lead co-design workshops and generate innovative, future-state service concepts
• Prototype and test service interventions to evaluate usability and effectiveness
• Translate insights into actionable requirements and support service implementation
• Define KPIs and iterate on design based on performance and feedback
• Champion human-centered design and communicate insights to stakeholders
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Service Designer, UX Designer, or similar role
• Demonstrated expertise with service design tools (journey maps, blueprints, personas, etc.)
• Experience improving administrative or operational services in complex organizations
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Social Sciences, Public/Business Admin, or equivalent experience
