As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in optimizing Power BI dashboards, focusing on user-friendliness, performance, flexibility, and standardization. You will support the design of data architecture structures to support Business Intelligence initiatives. Responsibilities
Design interactive and dynamic Power BI reports tailored to user needs, featuring detailed analysis and customizable filtering options.
Enhance dashboard performance, readability, and usability while ensuring consistency with internal design and data governance standards.
Contribute to the development of business intelligence tools by creating insightful data visualizations and operational analytics.
Assess data quality used for operational purposes and recommend improvements to increase reliability and accuracy.
Analyze operational performance data to identify trends and generate forward-looking insights.
Collaborate on building scalable and resilient data architecture frameworks to support the organization’s BI initiatives.
Qualifications
Proven experience designing business-oriented Power BI reports.
Proficiency in SQL queries and familiarity with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
Strong understanding of database systems, OLAP, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
Experience in data warehouse design, including dimensional modeling.
Prior experience as a BI Developer or Analyst.
Strong analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and drive innovation.
Key technical skills: SQL, Power BI, Python (considered an asset).

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Data Analyst for a remote position with occasional travel to the offices in Toronto or Vancouver. This 6-month contract, until the end of December 2025, with a strong possibility of renewal, requires proficiency in English, with bilingualism being an asset. The ideal candidate, at a junior to intermediate level, will be very "hands-on" and must have at least similar experience in their professional background. You will optimize Power BI dashboards with a focus on user-friendliness, performance, flexibility, and standardization, and help develop Business Intelligence reports and operational analytics capabilities.
