Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst – Performance & Analytics to join their Investment Analytics team. Responsibilities
●Deliver comprehensive performance and analytics reports for an assigned book of pension plan and asset manager clients.
●Reconcile portfolio data and liaise with clients, custodians, and money managers to resolve discrepancies.
●Investigate anomalies such as unexplained market value shifts, corporate actions issues, and incorrect data fields.
●Analyze and resolve issues related to calculated rates of return.
●Manage workload to ensure timely data collection, processing, and reporting.
●Complete ad-hoc research requests and contribute to special assignments.
●Support the Investment Compliance team with daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting responsibilities.
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
●Minimum 3 years of experience in the financial services industry.
●At least 2 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or custody operations.
●Currently enrolled to challenge CFA Level 1 (or beyond).
Nice-to-Haves:
●CFA Level 1 completed and/or CIPM designation.
●Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business.
●Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including troubleshooting and return calculations).
●Familiarity with Excel VBA is an asset.
●Previous experience with proprietary or in-house performance reporting systems.
Soft Skills:
●Strong team player with excellent collaboration and communication abilities.
●Proven time management and organizational skills.
●High attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
