As a Platform Analyst, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining robust data pipelines, ensuring continuous and uninterrupted data flows to key stakeholders. This involves supporting existing operations and infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Platform and future platforms through monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, and testing.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and architecture recommendations for scaling AWS-based platforms.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy data lakes and pipelines in AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Build and maintain AWS-based data pipelines using services like AWS Glue, S3, and Athena, alongside tools like Python/Spark/PySpark.
- Manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes using Azure DevOps and AWS services.
- Set up monitoring and alerting systems using AWS services including CloudWatch for data pipeline health.
- Establish and enforce data security protocols, identifying and patching system vulnerabilities.
- Implement and maintain data observability mechanisms to monitor key metrics including completeness, consistency, accuracy, and freshness.
- Develop and maintain data governance policies including schemas, data dictionaries, data storage, retention policies, and quality checks.
- Develop and execute Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for selected AI/ML use cases (predictive analytics, computer vision, anomaly detection, NLP).
- Develop and deploy infrastructure as code (IaC) using CDK, Terraform or MDAA for automating data pipeline transitions.
- Implement systems for detecting anomalies within the cloud infrastructure by analyzing logs and detecting unusual patterns.
- Manage Application Programming Interface (API) gateways, machine-to-machine (M2M) connections, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and Identity and Access Management (AM) roles and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
- Deploy and advise on solutions that conduct real-time data streaming, including data ingestion pipelines and computer vision pipelines.
- Monitor, maintain and update User Stories and Tasks through Microsoft Azure DevOps.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education (Bachelor's or postgraduate degree) in a relevant IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, or related field from a recognized Canadian institution or equivalent.
- Valid Secret level security clearance.
- Advising on data governance, security, and protection policies.
- Leading design, development, and testing of AWS cloud data storage.
- Creating and deploying ETL/ELT jobs using AWS Glue.
- Provisioning and managing AWS resources (Athena, Glue, RDS, Redshift, Cloud Formation, Lambda, EC2).
- Managing CI/CD for data pipelines.
- Setting up, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performing root cause analysis for data pipeline health.
- Implementing anomaly detection systems within cloud infrastructure.
- Managing data infrastructure (API gateways, M2M, WAF, IAM roles, RBAC).
- Implementing cloud security best practices.
- Architecting, developing, and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) data solutions on cloud platforms.
- Designing and managing cloud-based data pipelines and storage.
- Monitoring cloud service instances for performance and cost optimization.
