The Production Manager is responsible for the packaging department, including the day-to-day management of all activities required to execute the production plan. He/she will also be responsible for the management of all production and technical personnel associated with the department. In addition to dealing with planning and purchasing, as this has an impact on the activities and results of his department.
Working hours
Monday to Friday
Daytime
Starting salary depending on experience between 110K and 130K.

Responsibilities
The Production Manager will ...
- Manage human resources to support short- and long-term production execution
- Engage the team to produce quality products, respecting health & safety rules
- Determine staffing requirements based on projected and planned products
- Be responsible for the development and training of all the department's human resources to support the organization's objectives
- Develop and execute action plans for health & safety, quality, service, productivity, waste and costs
- Act as an ambassador for the company's Lean culture
- Develop and present improvement projects
- Coordinate day-to-day activities within the department to execute operational plans within pre-established cost, quality and service parameters.
- Develop standards and annual budget
- Evaluate and analyze departmental equipment installations
- Participate in purchasing decisions for equipment and facilities for the department
Qualifications
You must have:
- Bachelor's degree in science or engineering
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment
- Mastery of LEAN and continuous improvement concepts
- Experience in managing a team of around 100 employees (an asset)
- Bilingualism essential (French and English)
