We are hiring on behalf of a leading Canadian banking client seeking a Risk Analyst – Expert for a 12-month contract. This role, officially titled Senior Manager, Global Supplier Management, Corporate Real Estate on internal systems, will support modeling and risk reporting within the QRM Enterprise Risk platform. Responsibilities
•Conduct modeling exercises using QRM Enterprise Risk System to generate cash flows and business-specific product reports
•Guide technical teams in developing accurate data mapping logic for source feeds
•Configure, validate, and extract position data for modeling customer behavior and cash flows
•Create new products/accounts, balance position data with general ledger inputs, and develop regulatory reports
•Support implementation of new functionalities and enhancements to system capabilities
•Interpret and clarify ambiguous business inputs or user requirements to deliver accurate, actionable outputs
Qualifications
•Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
•Graduate degree in Business, Economics, or an MBA is required
•Over 10 years of hands-on experience in risk analysis, financial modeling, or banking systems
•Solid understanding of financial data mapping and business banking product structures
•Experience in data warehousing, relational databases, and information flows
•Proven ability to extract and analyze data using advanced SQL queries
Skills and Competencies
•Proficiency in risk measurement methodologies (market, credit, or liquidity risk)
•Understanding of capital markets products and valuation practices
•Strong business analysis, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
•Well-developed proficiency in Excel, Access, and presentation tools
•Ability to translate complex technical and business requirements into effective system solutions
•Comfort navigating ambiguous situations, with a strong sense of inquiry and logical reasoning
