We are seeking a SAP Functional Consultant to join a major business transformation project. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SAP S/4HANA with a focus on the Record to Report process. This role involves providing critical support as the project transitions from the Build to Deploy phases.

Responsibilities
- Provide SAP knowledge and leadership to the Record to Report team.
- Analyze processes to identify areas for improvement using standard SAP functionality.
- Support the hypercare period by troubleshooting, identifying issues, and resolving defects.
- Identify linkages to other key processes, such as budgeting, to support comprehensive reporting.
- Collaborate with business and vendor leads on the design, development, and configuration of the SAP solution and its integrations.
- Support remaining testing activities, including test script updates, test execution, defect resolution, and risk mitigation.
- Participate in all project phases and workstreams, including planning, change management, testing, training, Go-Live, and post Go-Live support.
- Validate proposed functionality against the project's design and provide best practices.
- Offer leadership in business processes, accounting principles, systems configuration, enhancements, and data management.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10+ years of hands-on experience in large project/program management.
- Expertise in SAP S/4HANA modules including Finance, Controlling, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable, Project Systems, and Funds Management.
- Experience in configuring S/4HANA modules.
- Experience in at least two end-to-end implementations.
- Experience providing support during a project's hypercare period.
- Extensive experience with traditional and agile project management methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of test methodologies.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Ability to work effectively in a transformative program and support the team during high-volume periods.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Critical thinking and strategic planning skills.
Assets:
- SAP FI-CO certification.
- Knowledge of Asset Retirement Obligation, Treasury and Risk Management, SAP Advanced Financial Closing, and Grants Management.
- Public sector implementation experience with S/4HANA.
- Working knowledge of SAP Solution Manager Change Request.
