Responsibilities
- Own the full-cycle accounting process (A/P, A/R, invoicing, collections, journal entries, reconciliations)
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records in QuickBooks Online
- Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements and reports (year-end is November 30)
- Monitor and report on budget vs. actuals, perform variance analysis and provide insights
- Manage weekly cash flow and banking activity
- Oversee expense reporting, commission reporting, and vendor payments
- Process client deposits, prepare sales invoices, and monitor A/R collections
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts, process Visa statements monthly
- Coordinate with external accountants for year-end and audits
- Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline operations
- Maintain up-to-date WIP tracking and job costing
- Support operational staff with financial insights and collaborate across teams as needed
Qualifications
- CPA designation (or in-progress)
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Experience in a sales/distribution, project-based, or inventory-driven environment
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and intermediate Excel skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive mindset
- A continuous improvement approach—someone who enjoys making things better
