Responsibilities
Architect, sustain, and elevate multi-cloud platforms across AWS and GCP, overseeing services related to compute, storage, networking, and governance.
Lead Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) initiatives using Terraform to automate cloud environment provisioning.
Design, build, and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines utilizing modern tools such as GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
Partner with AI and Data Science specialists to enable, scale, and optimize data processing environments like Databricks and Snowflake.
Oversee reliable production releases for AI solutions, ensuring strict alignment with change control, security guidelines, and rollback strategies.
Enhance platform observability, logging, and performance metrics to drive maximum system availability and operational efficiency.
Implement disaster recovery strategies, automated backups, and cloud cost management measures.
Champion security and reliability standards while coaching engineering peers on modern DevOps practices.
Qualifications
5 to 8 years of professional experience in a senior DevOps or Cloud Engineering capacity.
Proven track record supporting data-intensive workloads or machine learning engines in AWS, GCP, or hybrid environments.
Solid hands-on knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Amazon EKS, GKE, Cloud Run, or serverless architectures).
Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or equivalent languages.
Practical understanding of security frameworks, governance, and cloud cost containment strategies.
Familiarity with service reliability principles, including SLO/SLI tracking and operational metrics.
Demonstrated ability to guide, mentor, and elevate team members in cloud-native paradigms.
Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties. Based on an assessment conducted by our client, it has been determined that this position requires candidates to be fluent in English (both spoken and written). In particular, this position will require the employee to interact with centralized internal departments (e.g., Operations / HR / Finance / Legal / Contracts / Sales) that support the organization in Canada and that do not speak French.
