Join a transformative, province-wide initiative with our Edmonton client as they modernize Alberta’s Motor Vehicle systems. We are seeking a seasoned IT Business Analyst with a process-oriented mindset and a deep understanding of carrier services and the Traffic Safety Act. This is a unique 12-month contract opportunity to play a pivotal role in a once-in-a-generation platform overhaul that will unify fragmented systems and streamline service delivery.

Responsibilities
• Analyze and translate business requirements into functional and system specifications
• Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions and process walkthroughs
• Create user stories, journey maps, use cases, and mock-ups to support solution design
• Collaborate with architects and developers to decompose applications and validate design
• Support UAT planning and execution, ensuring solutions meet business expectations
• Liaise with privacy and security teams to fulfill compliance assessments
• Contribute to change management, system documentation, and policy recommendations
Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience translating business needs into technical requirements in enterprise environments
• 6+ years of experience with UAT planning and execution in multi-stakeholder projects
• Proven experience with business process documentation, workflows, and integrated system designs
• Strong knowledge of Alberta’s Traffic Safety Act and Carrier Profiling
• Demonstrated ability to apply Agile or Hybrid methodologies with tools like JIRA
