Our client's North American Growth Marketing team is at the forefront of digital and one-to-one marketing. They are tasked with building a robust digital marketing ecosystem to enable personalized communication at every customer interaction. This role is integral to the transformation and modernization of owned-digital channel marketing for the enterprise. You will provide both consultation and tactical subject matter expertise in one-to-one marketing best practices. As a key member of our client's Marketing Automation Center of Excellence, you'll collaborate closely with marketing and business units to ensure the effective and well-managed delivery of journey orchestration campaigns and initiatives within our marketing technology ecosystem.
This is a 12-month contract with potential to extend beyond the initial contract period. This requires the Senior Marketing Automation Specialist to work onsite at our client's office 2 days per week.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with integrated marketing teams to design, streamline, and optimize marketing cloud journeys, including building and filtering audiences.
• Develop and deploy marketing campaigns using various marketing automation tools, encompassing journey development, template setup, list management, form creation, A/B testing, and automated triggers.
• Design and execute cross-channel campaigns and journeys based on marketer requirements.
• Lead the configuration of audience entry sources, exit criteria, and re-entry criteria based on campaign goals, and structure journey decision splits.
• Oversee journey planning and execution, including technical reviews and quality control.
• Build and maintain modular campaign templates that are responsive and incorporate brand standards and best practices.
• Perform quality assurance testing to ensure segmented audiences and content are accurate and render properly on different devices.
• Manage and segment audience data using various marketing automation tools (audience builder, data extensions, API, filters, queries, etc.).
• Troubleshoot campaign development issues, including template rendering, accurate links, accessibility, and subscriber lookup.
• Leverage marketing automation tools and scripting languages to update content and enable dynamic content/personalization.
• Build highly dynamic campaigns using HTML and scripting languages.
• Provide guidance and train specialists on basic marketing automation capabilities and deployment best practices.
• Offer expertise in personalization and marketing automation around dynamic email content and segmentation rules to customize marketing campaigns.
• Participate in campaign optimization sessions and support the analysis of campaign performance.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve campaign objectives within stated timelines.
• Use strong project management skills to drive initiatives from conception to completion within established timelines.
Qualifications
Must Have:
• 7+ years of experience in the Marketing industry
• Minimum 3+ years of marketing automation experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of campaign management and delivery experience with segmentation strategy.
• Solid CRM experience and understanding of marketing campaign concepts and best practices.
• Extensive experience owning multi-audience campaigns and extensive usage of marketing cloud platforms, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Data Extensions.
• Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., AMPscript), HTML/CSS, and dynamic content scripting for email customization.
• Experience creating dynamic and personalized marketing campaigns using scripting languages and SQL expertise, building automations for marketing, analysis, and system maintenance using SQL knowledge, maintaining and optimizing marketing cloud platforms for peak performance and data integrity.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks applicable to email marketing in Canada.
• Ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• 3+ years of journey orchestration experience in a regulated industry.
• Marketing Cloud certifications.
• 3+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity.
• Knowledge of Inline CSS, Embedded CSS, External CSS, and scripting + CSS to work in marketing cloud platforms.
