Are you an experienced Project Manager who thrives at the intersection of IT and finance? Our Edmonton client is looking for a results-driven leader to coordinate and drive mission-critical initiatives, including financial gap analyses, contract management transformations, and enterprise-level IT projects. Responsibilities
• Manage multiple concurrent projects involving IT systems and financial process redesign
• Create project charters, plans, schedules, and status reports aligned with organizational goals
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and provide timely communication on project risks and milestones
• Lead contract spend analysis, budgeting justifications, and procurement alignment activities
• Coordinate the development of policies, platforms, and guidelines based on project findings
• Develop and track project budgets, timelines, resource plans, and governance documentation
• Support change management and communication strategies to ensure adoption and project success
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree, diploma or certificate in IT, Computer Science or related field of study.
• 5 years of experience with articulating and translating technical language for non-technical customers both verbally and in writing.
• 5 years of experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels.
• 5 years of project management experience includes business cases, feasibility studies, risk assessments, scope development, project and program planning, change management, RFP development, technology selection, application development, application integration, data integration, pre-flight testing and full implementation.
Desired Qualifications:
• Currently active PMP or PGMP Certification as issued by the Project Management Institute or equivalent (attach a copy of the certificate)
• 3 years of experience with Azure tools, components, and services e.g. including but not limited to Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Purview.
• 4 years of experience creating data visualizations, dashboards, and other information products for clients using BI/analytics software, including any or all: SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Visual Investigator, MS Power BI, Tableau, Looker, R, Python.
• 3 years of experience creating and managing project forecast and actual budgets.
• 3 years of experience working with information management and cybersecurity policies, directives, and guidelines within limited timelines.
• 4 years of leadership experience working in the public sector (ideally Canada) with a sound knowledge of its stakeholders, business functions and informational requirements.
