Our client is looking for a Senior Report Developer for this hybrid contract position of 8 months that allows flexibility with a mix of remote work and on-site presence in Toronto.

Responsibilities
âąParticipate in requirements gathering and translate business needs into effective BI solutions
âąDevelop, optimize, and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI Desktop and Paginated Report Builder
âąDesign and build ETL/data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and IBM InfoSphere DataStage
âąWrite and troubleshoot complex SQL queries (T-SQL, PL-SQL) for data extraction and transformation
âąImplement DAX calculations and optimize data models within Power BI for performance and accuracy
âąEnsure BI solutions comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 Level AA)
âąPerform quality assurance, troubleshooting, and issue resolution before report release
âąPrepare documentation, including knowledge transfer materials and technical specifications
âąCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams and support migration and deployment activities
Qualifications
Must Have:
âąMinimum 2 yearsâ experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Paginated Report Builder
âąAt least 4 yearsâ experience writing SQL queries (T-SQL, PL-SQL) for data manipulation and reporting
âąMinimum 2 yearsâ experience programming with DAX in Power BI
âąAt least 2 years working with ETL tools such as Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Databricks, IBM InfoSphere DataStage, and strong data modeling skills
Nice to Have:
đ§ Experience with cloud platforms like Azure Synapse
𧰠Familiarity with data governance and accessibility standards
đ„ Collaborative experience within Agile teams
đ Strong documentation and presentation skills
đïž Experience with Oracle or other relational databases
