Our client is looking for a Systems Testing/QA Specialist for a contract of 9 months with potential for a one-time extension. This hybrid position requires 3 days onsite at Toronto, and 2 days remote. The role is ideal for professionals experienced in QA testing within large-scale healthcare systems and comfortable working in both Agile and traditional SDLC environments.

Responsibilities
• Lead test planning and execution for key health modules such as Immunization, Inventory, and Audit Services
• Perform integration, functional, non-functional, regression, and accessibility testing
• Create test strategies, test plans, scripts, and test data for both manual and automated execution
• Conduct API, web services, and interface testing using tools such as Postman, SOAP-UI, and Rational ClearQuest
• Use automation tools such as Selenium to build and run test scripts
• Perform business scenarios and cross-system testing across public health platforms
• Execute accessibility testing compliant with WCAG 2.0 and AODA legislation
• Validate BI reporting, dashboards, and data integrity using SQL and reporting tools
• Log, track, and analyze defects using Jira, Confluence, and TestRail
• Support release deployment testing and user acceptance
Qualifications
Must Have:
• 7+ years’ experience leading enterprise system/QA testing
Strong expertise in:
• Manual and automated testing across health-related systems
• HL7-FHIR, REST APIs, JSON/XML message validation
• Web and mobile accessibility compliance (AODA, WCAG 2.0)
• SQL and business intelligence testing
• Jira, TestRail, and other defect tracking systems
• Public sector or healthcare domain experience
Nice to Have:
• Experience with Panorama or DHIR systems (e.g., ICON, PHIX, m-IMMS)
• Programming or scripting knowledge in Python, Perl, or other languages
• Experience working in Agile, DevOps, or hybrid delivery models
• Familiarity with SAML, JWT, and security component testing
• Exposure to STIX, PEAR, or other immunization modules
