détails d'emploi
We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist to drive the strategic design, orchestration, and execution of comprehensive quality assurance frameworks for large-scale enterprise systems. In this role, you will take full technical ownership of planning and executing end-to-end testing lifecycles across complex graphical and non-graphical application layers. Operating within a collaborative engineering environment, you will define testing strategies, build robust manual and automated verification matrices, and diagnose architectural bottlenecks to ensure optimal system performance, data integrity, and compliance across distributed tech ecosystems.
...
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)
Duration: 15-month contract.
Advantages
High-Scale Testing Scope: Lead end-to-end quality validation for high-traffic, mission-critical enterprise platforms.
Dual-Track Testing Command: Maintain a premium skill profile combining advanced manual test strategies with deep automated pipeline integrations.
Cloud-Edge Tooling Footprint: Maximize your engineering value leveraging modern cloud environments, distributed repositories, and big data scripting.
Extended Contract Stability: Secure a stable, long-term 15-month timeline to embed sustainable quality frameworks from design through release.
Responsibilities
Strategic Quality Governance: Provide expert technical counsel on overall testing strategies, master test plans, tool selections, and capacity modeling for complex multi-tier platforms.
Full-Lifecycle Test Orchestration: Plan, organize, and lead systems integration, functional, non-functional, regression, and specialized validation streams across the entire Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Advanced Automation Engineering: Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated test scripts using modern frameworks, seamlessly integrating regression matrices directly into continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
Performance & Scalability Tuning: Architecture and execute rigorous load, stress, and performance testing scripts to isolate scalability constraints, compute volume thresholds, and eliminate system bottlenecks.
Defect Lifecycle Management: Isolate, document, and track software anomalies using enterprise-level defect tracking tools, collaborating directly with engineering squads to reproduce issues and validate structural fixes.
Data Integrity & Migration Validation: Develop and manage robust test data strategies, write structural data queries for back-end database validation, and audit transaction streams to ensure absolute data consistency.
User Acceptance Facilitation: Structure, coordinate, and guide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) models, partnering closely with business analysts, project managers, and operational users to validate expected business logic.
Security & Accessibility Compliance: Execute initial baseline security evaluations and ensure all digital interface behaviors fully conform to established accessibility standards and digital inclusion regulations.
Technical Analytics & Documentation: Maintain transparent records of test coverage metrics, code execution quality logs, and quality dashboards while contributing key input for user manuals and formal release notes.
Qualifications
Core QA Seniority: 10+ years of progressive professional experience leading and executing system testing and quality assurance programs within enterprise-level IT environments.
Automation & Scripting Tool Mastery: Proven, hands-on experience building, coding, and maintaining automated test scripts utilizing industry‑standard frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, UFT, or Postman.
Performance Engineering Background: Demonstrated experience configuring and running load, stress, and scalability scripts using performance tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or comparable suites.
Pipeline Integration & DevOps Literacy: Solid understanding of cloud computing topologies (Azure, AWS) and practical experience integrating automated testing matrices into CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins, Git, or GitLab.
Defect Tracking & Agile Governance: High proficiency managing defect lifecycles, logging technical anomalies, and refining backlogs within JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent ecosystem tools.
Backend Database Testing Skills: Strong practical ability to write database queries to analyze complex data sets, perform data migration checks, and guarantee data integrity across disparate databases.
Methodological Fluency: Thorough operational knowledge of structured Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery frameworks, active participation in sprint ceremonies, and deep familiarity with the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Nice to Have:
Prior professional quality engineering experience delivering large-scale software validation solutions within a Canadian public sector framework or highly regulated governance landscape.
Practical knowledge of implementing digital accessibility compliance testing (such as WCAG or AODA regulations).
Technical experience validating Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) application deployments.
