Responsibilities
Technical Operation: Oversee the complete setup, calibration, and operation of the Heidelberg XL 106 (40") and/or the 6-color Man Roland (56") press.
Make-Ready & Calibration: Interpret technical production orders, install plates and cylinders, and execute precise make-ready adjustments to ensure absolute registration.
Color Management: Maintain stringent color metrics by adjusting ink fountain levels, monitoring viscosity, and validating density targets.
Quality Assurance: Continuously monitor high-speed production runs utilizing computerized control consoles to proactively identify and mitigate printing anomalies or defects.
Preventative Maintenance: Execute routine and scheduled preventative maintenance protocols to maximize machinery longevity and operational uptime.
Workflow Collaboration: Partner closely with press assistants and production planners to optimize throughput and meet rigorous delivery timelines.
Qualifications
Experience: 3 to 5 years of verified experience operating large-format offset presses (40" or larger).
Technical Competencies: Advanced command of computerized press consoles and specialized diagnostic capabilities for color and registration tracking.
Physical & Aptitude Metrics: High manual dexterity for micro-mechanical adjustments and exceptional color perception (a formal color vision assessment may be required).
Interpersonal Skills: Strong organizational aptitude to manage competing priorities alongside a track record of proactive communication with team members.
