Our client is seeking a Senior Software Developers (ETL) for a hybrid contract role based in Toronto đ, of 8 months. You will be responsible for testing, validating, and refining data pipelines to support a seamless transition to Dynamics 365 and Dataverse, ensuring clean, accurate, and compliant data migration.

Responsibilities
âą Analyze legacy system data structures, quality, and relationships
âą Read and interpret data migration mappings and transformation logic
âą Conduct rigorous validation of migrated data in Dynamics 365 CE
âą Create and execute detailed test plans, cases, and scripts for ETL quality checks
âą Build KPIs and dashboards to report data migration completeness and quality
âą Write and maintain documentation of test plans, scripts, and outcomes
âą Modify ETL code as needed to resolve data quality or mapping issues
âą Support data reconciliation, data profiling, and performance tuning
âą Collaborate with project teams to deliver migration readiness for go-live
âą Address post-migration data issues and optimize new data pipelines
âą Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and document technical activities
Qualifications
Must Have:
âą 5+ years of proven working experience in ETL roles
âą Expertise in ETL principles: extraction, transformation, and loading
âą Strong SQL skills and experience with Azure SQL Databases and Dataverse
âą Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE)
âą Experience in testing, validating, and troubleshooting data migrations
âą Understanding of data structures, data relationships, and query tuning
âą Experience with ETL code modification, data quality KPIs, and reconciliation
âą Familiarity with Azure tools like Synapse, Azure DevOps, and Power Platform
Nice to Have:
đ Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Data Engineer Associate)
âïž Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
đ§° Experience with version control (Azure Repos), XRM Toolbox
đ Knowledge of data governance, sensitivity, and security compliance
