Joining a small and highly busy team, the ideal candidate must demonstrate absolute autonomy to manage their mandates. This is a highly strategic role requiring solid expertise in the banking and actuarial sectors to support technological financial and legal systems.
This is an urgent mandate starting in late April and ending in late March 2027 with the possibility of renewal. The position operates fully remotely at 35 hours per week. Candidates from the Quebec City region are strongly preferred although exceptional profiles based in Montreal will be considered. Occasional presence for team workshops is expected. A credit and criminal background check along with two professional references will be strictly required.

Responsibilities
Translate requirements into software solutions and ensure deliveries comply with established designs across functional technological and organizational aspects.
Provide governance leadership for solution reviews and propose revise and approve architectural decisions in accordance with corporate frameworks.
Guarantee the seamless integration of solutions into existing ecosystems to minimize potential issues and propose pragmatic workarounds when necessary.
Ensure the integrity and quality of the solution from design to delivery by supervising execution and validating test results.
Maintain the traceability of architectural decisions and certify technical project documentation.
Ensure the strict application of the current methodological approaches and architectural processes.
Collaborate with the enterprise architecture team to preserve corporate alignments and guarantee compliance with established standards.
Qualifications
Minimum of 12 years of overall information technology experience with at least 7 years in a software and data architecture role for large scale projects.
Deep and required experience in the chief financial officer sector combined with a solid background in actuarial sciences and the banking industry.
Absolute and essential mastery of artificial intelligence constituting a strict prerequisite for this position.
Strong technological expertise with Azure Databricks and Kubernetes environments.
Total autonomy to operate effectively within a small and highly busy team.
Demonstrated leadership in managing internal and external multidisciplinary teams.
Experience designing high volume and high availability applications and systems.
Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycles agile methodologies and industry security standards including ISO 27001.
Excellent mastery of spoken and written French.
Functional level of English is required with complete bilingualism considered a strong asset.
**Our client operates in Canada. The company takes all reasonable steps to limit the number of positions in Quebec that require knowledge of a language other than French, and only requires it when necessary and its existing bilingual employees are unable to perform these duties.
