Permanent full-time, Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities
- Process transport requisitions to carry out shipments in accordance with the requested order
- Plan transport routes to optimize trip efficiency and minimize logistics costs
- Issue requisitions with designated carriers
- Ensure strict compliance with the cold chain (checking trailer and product temperatures) during transport by truckers
- Use specified IT tools and systems to track goods movements and generate logistics reports
- Guarantee full traceability of shipped lots
- Prepare and validate transport documents with the broker to ensure goods pass through border controls
- Communicate regularly with suppliers and carriers to coordinate logistics activities and resolve potential issues
- Negotiate transport rates twice a year, as well as handle rate increases by carriers
- Track routes and trucks throughout transport, from departure to arrival, to confirm delivery, monitor appropriate temperatures to preserve products, and confirm details with Canadian Customs
- Oversee product returns and manage the return process, including issuing return authorizations and processing refunds
- Continuously evaluate logistics processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability
- Participate in special logistics project management, such as the implementation of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics or within a supply chain, transport, or distribution environment
- Flexible to work a flexible schedule and be available during busier periods
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience in coordination with warehouses, carriers, or logistics partners
- Mandatory experience in the agrifood industry, specifically in perishables
- Comfortable with warehouse management systems and/or integrated systems (ERP)
- Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, as well as basic mathematical abilities
- Work well in and support a team environment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and applying relationship management methods
