Our client is seeking a UX/UI Specialist and this is a hybrid contract role based in Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities
âą Lead the end-to-end UX/UI development of small to medium-sized business applications
âą Design and deploy solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse)
âą Prototype applications that prioritize accessibility, usability, and AODA compliance
âą Facilitate workshops and design sessions with stakeholders to gather and translate business needs
âą Guide user-centered design activities, including user journey mapping and persona creation
âą Conduct code reviews and promote best practices for UX/UI development
âą Mentor team members and support skill development in Power Platform and UX design
âą Resolve technical issues and document solutions for future support
âą Ensure alignment of solutions with Agile development methodologies and DevOps pipelines
âą Create standards and documentation (e.g., UX guidelines, ReadMe files, design specs)
Qualifications
Must Have:
âą University degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
âą Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform:
ââą Power Apps
ââą Power Automate
ââą Dataverse
âą Demonstrated ability to develop AODA-compliant digital applications
âą Experience creating intuitive UX/UI designs using user-centered design (UCD) principles
âą Ability to translate stakeholder input into wireframes, mockups, and prototypes
âą Experience facilitating design workshops and translating business needs into visual architecture
âą Familiarity with agile software development life cycles and DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps
Nice to Have:
đ Microsoft Power Platform Developer Certifications
âïž Familiarity with microservices, event-driven, and service-oriented architectures
đ Experience with RDBMS (MS SQL, Dataverse)
đ Knowledge of tools for defect tracking and sprint management
đ Exposure to design thinking methodologies and high-fidelity prototyping tools
đĄ Experience documenting development standards and user guidelines
