Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership & Strategy
Vision Alignment: Ensure all branch activities align with the company’s core mission, values, and long-term vision.
Multi-Site Flexibility: Initially oversee multiple locations within the sector, ensuring consistent standards until a permanent single-branch assignment is confirmed.
Head Office Liaison: Maintain constant communication with head office stakeholders to implement corporate initiatives and provide site-level feedback.
2. Sales & Financial Management
Profitability: Drive branch success by maximizing sales performance and maintaining strict control over expenses.
Budgeting: Manage the annual branch budget, monitoring P&L statements to identify areas for cost reduction or revenue growth.
Performance Metrics: Track and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure the branch meets or exceeds corporate targets.
3. Human Resources & Talent Development
Predominant Training Focus: Lead the training and operational support component for staff to ensure technical hardware knowledge and process efficiency.
Succession Planning: Identify high-potential employees and develop their skills to prepare for future growth and internal promotions.
Performance Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and conflict resolution to maintain a healthy work environment.
4. Customer Experience & Merchandising
Service Standards: Elevate the customer journey by ensuring staff are proactive, knowledgeable, and helpful.
Inventory & Merchandising: Oversee product placement, seasonal displays, and stock levels to ensure the store is "customer-ready" at all times.
Problem Resolution: Act as the final point of escalation for customer concerns, ensuring a professional and satisfactory resolution.
5. Administration & Compliance
Operational Health: Ensure the branch operates safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Administrative Oversight: Manage daily reporting, cash handling procedures, and inventory audits.
Qualifications
Demonstrate leadership, rigour and integrity;
Experience working in the hardware industry an asset
Be an excellent communicator
Have an excellent sense of listening and analysis.
Knowledge and training required
Have a good command of the French language, both orally and in writing or Francophone with a functional English.
Master the Office Suite;
Have a good knowledge of the company’s sector of activity;
Have experience in a similar position;
Knowing the Ogasys software (an asset);
Have experience in operating a wood yard with delivery (an asset)
